In order to
start a local group you would have to follow three formal steps:
1.
Contact
for assistance our national board or ALSA Bangladesh Expansion team
2. Gather
interested people
3. Prepare
statutes according to your university law (how you will run it)
Nevertheless, in order for your ALSA Bangladesh
initiative to be effective, you would have to achieve the following goals:
I.
Set a good
relationship with the administration of your faculty/university
II.
Gather
people who want to be active in ALSA Bangladesh, rather than just be
III.
Create a plan
you will follow, with clear deadlines and aims to achieve
Get to know your target audience:
People who want to improve
English/legal English
People who are interested in Human
Rights
People who are interested in
debating, mooting, MUN etc.
People who are interested in
travelling with academic interest
People who are interested to be a
lawyer in the long run
Try to visit events organized by
other ALSA Bangladesh.
Plan your
first local event as soon as possible, to see your SWOT (Strengths,
Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats)
(1) Requirements to be the official Local Chapter:
a. Candidate must possessed a clear organization structure plan;
b. Candidate must acquire a letter of official statement in forming Local Chapter by the
faculty with the acknowledgement of students senate / or any equal students body
within the faculty of the candidate;
c. Candidate must submit a letter of request for forming a Local Chapter to the National
board;
